Kevin Nash has tried different medications and a lot of things to improve his health after a career in pro wrestling that left him so banged. Out of all the things he has tried, CBD oil has worked wonders for him.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound found in hemp, Cannabis Sativa plant. It doesn’t produce hallucinations or cause euphoria. CBD is widely touted for its medicinal benefits such as treating stress, anxiety, depression, inflammation, muscle spasms, soreness, chronic pain, etc. Since CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, it is infused in many creams, topicals, gels, capsules, oils, isolates, vape pens, bath bombs, lotions, etc to offer relief to the user.
Many celebrities and athletes boast about CBD products and how it has transformed their lives. Whether it is the beauty mogul Kim Kardashian West, who organized a grand party for her fourth child with husband Kanye West, or the FRIENDS star, Rachel Green aka Jennifer Anniston, many celebs seem to be using CBD in one way or the other.
Though CBD has the potential to treat several diseases, there’s still a lack of scientific evidence that backs up the alleged medicinal claims made by CBD lovers. Despite this, the love for CBD seems to be growing amongst consumers.
Kevin Nash is now the official Global Brand Ambassador for No Borders Naturals. He explained his decision to get involved with CBD in a video sent out by the company. Nash said he’d had 32 surgeries, and he knows a lot about pain and rehab. He has tried several medications and he vomits 15 minutes after taking an opioid in his body, it makes him even sicker and he has already tried a dozen CBD brands with no real results before No Borders Naturals.
He further added that he felt better when he took CBD liquid sublingual under his tongue. He also started using the muscle and joint balm before his workouts and he can feel a great difference after his workouts now applying the Muscle Recovery Roll-on.
The renowned player will be awarded his second WWE Hall of Fame ring in April. Hopefully, Kevin’s new partnership with the brand will benefit both the parties involved.
Confusion Around CBD- Is it Safe?
According to the FDA, consumers should be aware while purchasing CBD products like the black market for CBD is continually growing.
Many companies are selling illicit products that are incorrectly labeled. Some of them contain a higher concentration of THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive substance found in cannabis, responsible for causing “high” or hallucinations when people smoke weed or do pot. But these illegal companies pose similar to the legitimate ones, and it can get difficult to distinguish between them.
As per the federal regulations, the maximum amount of THC allowed per unit is 0.3%. If a product contains more than 0.3% THC per dry weight, it is considered illegal and you might be faced with charges. But there’s friction between the government, companies, and the consumers.
It is recommended that buyers look for proper labels on the products, understand and determine what content does the product has, and avoid falling for sales ads that promise CBD can cure cancer. To curb the sales of illicit CBD products, the FDA sent out warning letters to 15 companies that labeled their CBD products incorrectly or were marketing their products with high medicinal claims.
Another problem with the cannabis industry is that although the government has legalized hemp, the taxes on cannabis-based products and the overall pricing of the legal cannabis industry is exorbitant. Not many people can afford legal cannabis medication, so they are turning to the black market for treating their ailments. The black market is highly unregulated and offers poor quality products often contaminated with harmful substances that might give the lead to a positive drug test.
CBD products are easily available at small stores, located at nook and corners of streets, petrol pumps, highways, and online sites. From CBD infused gummy bears to oils, companies are rolling out CBD products to the consumer market.
Note: Consumers should always buy from legal cannabis companies that offer third-party laboratory results to ensure they’re consuming safe and legal products.
