Dukes of Hazzard' star John Schneider says CBD helped cure wife's cancer

CBD has become a buzzing word over the past few years due to its alleged medicinal value. From treating muscle pain, spasms, injuries to reducing stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, CBD has come out to be a potent compound with a significant impact on overall wellbeing. It has now become a part of many people’s regime as an edible like gummies, chocolates or drinks, or wellness products like topicals, creams, ointments, isolate, etc.

John Schneider, famously known for his role in “The Dukes of Hazzard” as “Bo Duke” that aired on CBS from 1979 to 1985, claims that CBD helped treat his wife, Alicia Allain’s, stage four HER2 negative hormone receptor-positive cancer. Allain said that the cancer was discovered on her legs, arms, spine and rib cage.

After doing some research, Allain found certain minerals, hemp, and CBD that were linked to alleviating the symptoms of cancer. So she started taking CBD orally twice a day and now she credits CBD that has helped her treat her cancer.

CBD is an anti-inflammatory and non-psychoactive compound which means it does not induce hallucinations or cause “high” that users usually experience while smoking marijuana. CBD is derived from hemp, cannabis Sativa plant, which does not contain high levels of THC, the psychoactive compound responsible for causing a euphoria like feeling in users when they smoke weed.

THC is limited to a maximum concentration of 0.3% per dry weight according to the federal regulations. Any product containing a higher amount of THC is labeled illegal and may result in a positive drug test. Contrarily, CBD is widely touted for its healing properties and medicinal value. It is also known to alleviate the symptoms of life-threatening diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and Tourette.

Research shows that CBD is a potent drug with substantial wellness effects that can help patients deal with multiple ailments ranging from everyday stress to life-threatening illnesses like cancer. In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a CBD based medication, Epidiolex, an oral solution that can be used to treat two rare and severe forms of epilepsy- Dravet syndrome and Lennox Gastuat syndrome.

CBD has gained massive popularity over the past few years as it has helped people improve their mental health and boost their overall wellness.

How CBD Helped His Wife Battle with Cancer

Allain said that CBD was conditioning her body to fight it. She further said that she doesn’t have a genetic marker for cancer at all, so if there was a break in her DNA system, how could have they got her DNA back to normal?

Schneider said he founded “Yee Haa”, a CBD oil brand “CBoD”, to help improve his health. He believes that CBD oil made her wife more receptive to dietary changes and medication that strengthened her body to fight more aggressively against cancer.

While CBD is not a sure shot and a cure for cancer, Schneider believes it has the potential to boost your body’s will and strength to battle against diseases. Within just five months of using CBD, Allain was cancer-free.

The CBD oil from Schneider’s brand comes in different flavors such as apple moonshine, in the spirit of “The Dukes of Hazzard. The star continues to motivate people suffering from cancer to not lose their battle in the first diagnosis. He said the battle against cancer is not when you discover you have it, instead, you should remain active and fight it out!

While there is little scientific evidence that supports the medical claims of CBD and hemp, many users have claimed that the compound has helped them battle their diseases. Leigh Park, a grandmother who ditched chemotherapy for CBD oil said she saw a significant improvement in her health after she started taking CBD oil to fight her breast cancer.

Even Bill Turnbull, a famous journalist, is relying on CBD to help treat his cancer. From celebrities to athletes to commoners, everyone seems to be turning to hemp-derived CBD for improving their health.
