Off late several professional players and athletes have good things to talk about CBD. Many players have found relief in the innumerable physical conditions they suffer as a result of rigorous training and schedules. Golfer Bubba Watson will also endorse for cbdMD. Mike Tyson, the Boxing legend has also launched his line of CBD products. Popular NBA player Lamar Odom has to talk about anything but positive about the drug and calls CBD ‘a miracle drug’.

Stephen Curry, a noted Basketball professional recently made public his investment arm SC30 at TechCrunch. But he has made it clear that his business is not looking towards investing any resources for CBD. The Golden State Warrior’s main investments will focus on Series A through Series C rounds with a primary focus on both B2B and B2C customers.

The President of the concern is Curry’s roommate and fellow Basketball player and athlete Bryant Barr. He also has co-founded Slyce which currently is invalid. Barr has good credentials to his credit with an MBA from Stanford College.

The duo also has given their support to Guild Education that entails the employees in corporate with tuition fee reimbursement.

CBD is a hemp-extracted substance which is also anti-inflammatory. It has less than 0.3% THC levels in it which help the mind to feel better after taking it. The intake of CBD related products do not produce high or makes one feel changed and altered. Marijuana in many countries is a banned substance mainly because it has a large quantity of THC in it. Its addiction is considered dangerous and many people smoke marijuana at a regular level. CBD also has been valued over the years for its immense value in not just the medical industry but also the food and cosmetics industry.

In the medical world, CBD has made inwards with its miracles working on several patients reeling with cancer, epilepsy, depression, anxiety and a lot more. People are becoming aware and are calling for the legalization of the substance.

With Curry’s investment arm underway, the team is intending to explore a lot many options. But as a team and a concern, they have decided to stay away from happening businesses like CBD and gambling.

It all has to do with a conscience because Stephen is a family man with three kids. He does not want to invest in a business or manufacture a product that does not define him as a person. He also is not interested in putting his money in betting. He is an athlete people love and being a public figure also gives him a sense of responsibility. Gambling is interesting as a brand investment but betting is a big no.

The concern SC30 is restraining to invest anything in the medical industry also. Making a product in the medical space requires a lot of resources and a methodical approach. They believe that they do not have the diligence and the network to go that deep yet. It also requires a lot of money that needs to be continuously injected.

They are also not in a hurry to invest in a Block-chain concern but, they believe Blockchain will slowly evolve. A lot of customer education is required if they decide to buy it. BlockChain according to them can get complicated because till date the available versions are far away from the layman’s version. Hence the company wants to wait before it plunges into it.

Curry wants to invest in ideas that are synonymous with their beliefs. But, the partner duo is aware that they had lost many opportunities previously but have made progress in some private markets.

The lost opportunities cannot be great but in retrospection, it can be a valuable learning experience. They are aware that they could have been a lot richer if they had not let go of the various opportunities they had. But they only convinced themselves by realizing that good opportunities are underway and much in number. It just needs the right mindset to identify it among many lurking around.

For the company, the partners differ in their opinions and investment styles. But, what they do agree is to stay focused on establishing the stability of the business rather than rushing in. Stephen plans to play another 6 seasons of NBA but wants a secure cushion of a flourishing business when he retires. Perhaps this is the reason for the measured decisions taken by him and his partner Barr.
