Cannabis investments have driven the commercialized market to result in massive revenue generations and an array of cannabis-infused products usable for human consumption. Whether it is a skin product or an infused drink, companies are scouting distinct ways to create consumable cannabis-based products for consumers.

With the legalization of marijuana, the U.S. and Canada stock markets have taken a boom. A heavy cashflow is being generated to supply and power the cannabis industry which plans to hit the shelves by late 2019 with ample of consumer-based products.

After joining Civilized on a gamut of projects in the cannabis space last year, Chelsea Handler, has taken a leap forward and signed as an investor. The best-selling author, comedian and activist has been actively participating in discussions about cannabis with Civilized Publisher Derek Reidle and shared a stage with him quite a few times.

The former talk show host has been seen making several appearances in over a dozen of events last year. Civilized and Chelsea’s relationship dates back to mid-2018 when she was a keynote speaker at the exclusive World Cannabis Congress which put her in the limelight.

She had joined in for an on-stage conversation with the attendees which was significantly appreciated by many. Chelsea had an innovative and interactive approach to the whole cannabis discussions which made national headlines just weeks ahead of the legalization of cannabis in Canada.

It was considered as a fresh approach to transforming the cannabis narrative and the associated stigma with it.

Chelsea has become a fervent believer of the benefits of marijuana and its healing capabilities with time. “Cannabis has made a difference in my life, in the lives of my friends and people who have been reintroduced to it. Working with Civilized, I’ve seen how passionate they are about smashing outdated cannabis stereotypes while keeping people entertained, and it’s been a real inspiration,” said Chelsea in an interview. She further added, “It’s more than just a media company, it’s a movement. And one I’m proud to be a part of.”

Although, no future business plans have been settled yet between the two –Civilized and Handler. But the open media acceptance and investment portrays Chelsea in a strong position indicating about a massive possibility for future collaborations with Civilized.

Chelsea shared that she eventually plans to start with her own line of marijuana and its products. Last week, Handler appeared on a podcast, “Bitch Sesh” where she discussed in detail about her previously announced line of marijuana.

She is developing a strain that would cut women’s appetites, told Handler to the co-hosts of the show, Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider.
